Study visa

New Zealand’s educational institutions are well regarded throughout the world. There is a great range of opportunities available to international students here.

You will need a Student visa in NZ if you are planning to study for more than three months. This also includes school aged children and full fee paying tertiary students who either want to complete an English language course or a higher education qualification.

You must have an offer of place, or confirmation of enrolment from an approved education provider and You’ll need enough money to pay your fees and to live on while you’re here.

Student Advisor NZ Limited don’t charge any fees for applying your Student visa application with Immigration. Either you are in New Zealand or offshore we will not charge you any fees. There is only one condition that your offer letter from education provider should be through our company.

All of our staff is Education New Zealand (ENZ) trained, which means, they possesses all the current knowledge of studying and living in New Zealand.

Visitor visa

This type of visa is a non-immigrant visa for individuals who wants to visit New Zealand on a temporary basis for visiting friends and family as well as sightseeing..

Visitor Visa Requirements

When you apply for a visitor visa, we need to know that:

  • you are in good health
  • you are of good character
  • a visitor visa fits your purpose for coming to New Zealand, and
  • you are a bona fide temporary visitor.

Work visa

To work in New Zealand temporarily, you will need to apply for a Work Visa. To be eligible for a temporary Work Visa:

  • you must have a job offer from a New Zealand employer
  • there must be a specific purpose or event for which you need to come to New Zealand to work
  • you want to join your partner here and work.

There are different categories of work visa which a person can apply, the most common categories are :

Post-Study Work Visa – Open

This is a work visa granted to students completing a New Zealand qualification provided that they meet the requirements. Post-study work visas are granted for one to three years depending on the Level of qualification and place studied. No evidence of a job offer needs to be provided with this application, however the applicant will need to provide evidence that they have sufficient funds to maintain their stay in the country.

Accredited Employer Work Visa

Apply for this temporary visa if you have a job offer from an accredited employer, the skills and qualifications for the job, and a link to the application form. With this visa you can Work in New Zealand for an accredited employer who has offered you at least 30 hours work a week. In some cases, you may be eligible for a Straight to Residence Visa, or after 2 years in the role a Work to Residence or Highly Paid Residence Visa.

Residence visa

There are a number of pathways that you can take to quality for and obtain a residence visa in New Zealand. You will need to meet specific requirements for your occupation, skills, qualification, health, and character. The main residence categories are:

Skilled Migrant Category

The Skilled Migrant Category visa is one of the most common pathways for applicants to apply for residence when you have qualifications, work experience and a job offer in an area in demand in New Zealand. The key is to have a skilled job offer which is linked with both experience and qualifications. Applicants need to have at least 180 points to be selected at the Expression of Interest stage.

Once the EOI is selected, applicants will be invited to apply for residence. Our Licensed adviser will do a thorough assessment, we will advise you if you are eligible for residence under this category.

Family Category

If you have a NZ partner, parent or adult child who lives in New Zealand as a citizen or permanent resident, getting PR through a Family stream visa may be the right option for you. With these visas, you must show your family partnership and evidence.

Family Visa

Partnership work visas

Work visas obtained under the Family – Partnership category allow you to work for any employer in any occupation. Work visas under this category can be applied for by partners of mid-skilled or high- skilled essential skills work visa holders, or by partners of New Zealand residents or citizens. Note that partners of low-skilled visa holders no longer qualify for work visas based on partnership. You are considered by Immigration New Zealand to meet partnership requirements for temporary visas if you are living together with your partner in a genuine and stable relationship, irrespective of whether you are married.

Parent and grandparent visas

Parents and grandparents of New Zealand citizens or residents may be granted a multiple-entry 3 year visitor visa allowing visits of 6 months. This allows parents and grandparents to stay in New Zealand for up to a maximum of 18 months in total over the 3 year period.

Employer Assistance

Employer Accreditation

If you are an employer in NZ planning to hire migrants, you must get accredited to show you are a viable business and you meet employment and immigration standards. This will enable you to hire migrants on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).
Once you are accredited, you need to apply for a job check for each job you want to hire a migrant worker for. If the job passes the job check the migrant worker can apply for a visa.
The initial employer accreditation is for 12 months and subsequent accreditation renewals will be for 24 months.

The Job Check

Once employer accreditation is approved, the next step is to apply for Job Check. The purpose of the job checks is to ensure there are no New Zealanders available for the job. If your job checks is approved after that a migrant worker can apply for an AEWV. An approved job check is valid for 6 months.
